Dr. Issac Bar
Dr. Bar graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He further completed a dental residency program in advanced restorative dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where he has mastered the latest techniques in sedation dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, dental implants, and surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Yeshiva University in New York City.
Before joining our office, Dr. Bar practiced dentistry in Philadelphia, PA and completed a TMD and orofacial pain postgraduate program at the University of Minnesota School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bar is a premier provider of Invisalign, an alternative to braces and orthodontic treatment. Dr. Bar is a US army officer and is proudly serving our country as Captain for the New York National Guard. He has recently completed a rigorous combative and leadership course and now contributing to research and providing dental and medical care for the US Army. Dr. Bar is dedicated to providing up-to-date developments in dentistry by frequently attending continuing education classes and symposiums. He uses his training to perform long-lasting dentistry with minimally invasive techniques.
Aside from basic restorative dentistry, his particular interests are implant dentistry and aesthetic dentistry, including porcelain veneers, aesthetic sculpting, teeth whitening, and smile evaluations. Dr. Bar also offers emergency services, root canals, periodontal treatment, oral surgery, and oral medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and Alpha Omega. Dr. Bar has been involved with various non-profit organizations including the Smile Rescue Fund for Kids and is the current president of JQYouth.
Dr. Tyler Smith
Dr. Tyler Smith graduated with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Afterward, he completed a rigorous comprehensive General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, a state of the art, level-1 trauma center and teaching hospital. There he gained additional expertise in oral surgery, dental and facial trauma, implant dentistry, root canals, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and cosmetics.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Education Association. He is a certified Invisalign provider. He has also completed continuing education courses in facial aesthetics, advanced endodontic techniques (root canals), and dental implant therapy. In addition to Dr. Smith’s time serving his patients on the Upper East Side, he is also faculty at a hospital-based dental program for geriatric patients and medically complicated individuals.
Dr. Smith is committed to providing the latest, safest and longest-lasting dental care available. He is a believer in providing minimally invasive and preventative treatment. He actively listens to his patients' needs and oral health goals and works to provide care which is unique to each individual’s needs and desires. Patients choose Dr. Smith as their dental provider for several reasons including his great bedside manner, his ability to offer treatment options that meet and exceed his patient’s expectations and because he is an expert and leader in his field. Dr. Smith is passionate about his profession and he exemplifies that in the precision and care he takes with all his patients.
Dr. John Hagedorn
Dr. Hagedorn graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where he was inducted as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He was also the recipient of the 2021 American College of Dentists award. After dental school, he completed a general practice residency program at the Manhattan VA hospital where he learned advanced general dental procedures especially in minimally invasive restorations, crowns, bridges, and veneers, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canals, emergency procedures, and periodontal procedures.
Dr. Hagedorn is a member of the American Dental Association and is a certified Invisalign provider. He values patient centered care and is willing to work with patients to find the best possible treatment that fits their current lifestyle and needs. He has embraced new dental technology including dental photography and intra-oral scanning to allow patients to better visualize and understand what is happening in their mouths.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hagedorn enjoys watching and playing sports, cooking, traveling, hiking, snow skiing, and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
Dr. Michael Murphy
Dr. Michael Murphy is originally from Denver, Colorado. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Colorado Boulder where he studied human physiology and Spanish literature. Following graduation, he was accepted at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver, earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2017. He then enrolled in a general practice residency program at the BronxCare Hospital Center in the south Bronx, bringing him to the East Coast. He completed advanced training in general dental procedures including placement of fixed prostheses (crowns, bridges, veneers), implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatments, emergency procedures, and periodontics.
Dr. Murphy is a member of the American Dental Association and is a certified Invisalign provider. He believes in thinking long-term, understanding that the dental treatment plan we come up with today will affect patients’ oral health for the next 20,40, or 60+ years. Dr. Murphy enjoys the versatility that the field of dentistry provides as well as the idea of creating a greater quality of life for our patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Murphy enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, hiking, skiing, spending time in the sunshine with friends and family, and escaping to Spain or Mexico whenever possible. Por si acaso, se habla español.
